GRADUATION

SECTION 13. REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION FROM THE COLLEGE OF FINE ARTS

Candidates for the B.F.A., B. Mus., and B.A. degrees must complete at least 122 credit hours of work approved by the dean and the faculty of the college. The 122 hours must include the subject requirements prescribed in Section 4 of this chapter and a minimum of from 40 to 53 credit hours of work (B.A. degree) or from 59 to 94 credit hours of work (B.F.A. and B.Mus. degrees) in the major (depending on departmental requirements.) Students in the College of Fine Arts must major in one of the following fields of concentration: art, art history, ballet, film studies, modern dance, music, or theatre. The B.A. degree may be awarded only to students who major in art history, film studies, music, or theatre studies, satisfy the language requirements for the B.A. degree, complete a minimum of 40 credit hours in upper division courses in allied fields outside their major department as approved by the department's faculty.
